Dialogando con José María Micó: en la encrucijada entre poesía y música, más allá del membrete experiencial

This article as well as the unpublished interview that follows aim to explore José María Micó’s (1961) poetry in the contemporary literary landscape. His multifaceted production shows features that belong to different literary generations, preventing any simple categorization: if on the one hand the themes seem to recall the poetry of experience, on the other hand the stylistic features differ as they make use of classical metrical schemes and a more introspective tone. The article will then focus on the coexistence of word and music within his poems since they are currently being converted into songs by the duo Marta y Micó (José María Micó, music and lyrics; Marta Boldú, voice), an effort which has triggered a double literary existence that still has to be studied in-depth.
