The lining of reinforced-concrete industrial multi flue chimneys is often made of refractory masonry, supported on reinforced concrete slabs placed inside the windshield at approximately 20-30 m intervals. The aim of the research is to numerically study the thermal and creep effects on R.C. slabs for chimneys support. To this end, the behaviour of a slab with circular holes supporting three flues was analysed by means of a non linear FE codes (DIANA).
