The paper deals with the bequests (legata) concerning inheritances devolved to the testator. The object of these bequests is deemed peculiar for being a universitas and therefore requiring special consideration as far as its effects are concerned. The paper examines the very few texts from the Digest (just five) referring to said bequests in order to analyze their legal regulation.
