This article analyzes the amorous discourse articulated in the novel Martín Rivas, considering the resonances of the European narrative tradition present in its construction. In order to visualize these resonances, we consider the configuration of the amorous discourse of I promessi sposi. The obcejtive to analyze both works from their respective amorous discourses, born from the appreciation that the discursive productions of the Chilean high class contain aspirations aimed at obtaining European values, and whose fullest expression can be seen in the sentimental story. This is why, better than any other type of discursive, it exposes the historical tensions that affect the conformation of the subjectivity of the members of the nation, at the same time that it serves as a discourse that, as Sommer points out, "trains the readers in a specific type of social behavior "(58). Therefore, the analysis of the novel Martin Rivas from its European resonances and the amorous discourse allows us to notice the type of subjectivity that is intended to model for the consolidation of an emerging nation, as is Chile in the middle of the 19th century.

Abstract
Therefore, the analysis of the novel Martin Rivas from its European resonances and the amorous discourse allows us to notice the type of subjectivity that is intended to model for the consolidation of an emerging nation, as is Chile in the middle of the 19th century.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
