Exploring the Contingencies in the Relationship between Entrepreneurial Learning and Extra-Role Behavior in University Students: the Role of Gender

This study focuses on the outcomes of university support to entrepreneurship of university students, moving the attention beyond venture creation and its antecedents. In particular, the paper explores the effect of entrepreneurial learning on extra-role behavior, a manifestation of entrepreneurial posture of employees in the workplace, and investigates how gender moderates this relationship. To do so, this study relies on the 2018 wave of a large international dataset with a total of 6,297 respondents. Preliminary analyses show the positive effect of entrepreneurial learning on entrepreneurial posture. Moreover, findings show that female gender negatively moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial learning and extra-role behavior.
