In this commentary, I discuss the section on human generation in Sergio Filippo Magni’s book l’etica tra genetica e neuroscienze. After a brief presentation, I challenge the moral distinction Magni suggests between before and during pregnancy in his discussion of the principle of Procreative Beneficence. Finally, I discuss the author’s narrow person-affecting interpretation of Procreative Beneficence.
