The book"Karim and the others" is in depth analyzed, trying to put it into relation with the anthropological researches about contemporary Tunisia and youth and with the main studies about daily life, formal and informal education in the Middle East and in the Maghreb. The aim is to understand the subtile interrelations among education, living experiences and politics for the youth growing up in Tunisia in these last years. Within this framework, the religion emerges - with new forms and meanings - as an important factor, among others, in the daily lives of the Tunisian youth .
