According to the 2007 White paper on sport, “Sport is a growing social and economic phe-nomenon which makes an important contribution to the European Union’s strategic objectives of solidarity and prosperity”. As the pandemic has affected all economic and social aspects of human life, sport has also been affected by the consequences of the Covid-19. In his paper the Author tries to analyze some of the most important of these consequences and the response of the European Union to such a challenge
