Article 17 - The Right of Children and Young Persons to Social, Legal and Economic Protection

The analysis illustrates the contents of Article 17 of the European Social Charter on the fundamental right of children and young persons to be appropriately protected at social, legal and economic levels, examining the personal and material scope in the light of the cases addressed by the European Committee of Social Rights and including references to other instruments dealing with children's rights as well as, where relevant, to the European Convention on Human Rights and the case law of the European Court of Strasbourg.
