This article explores the anthropological view and metaphysical principles that form the unit basis of political and educational Rousseau’s writings (1712-1778), through the analysis of the role of work in the Social Contract and in Emilio. Work allows the full expression of human being, through the construction of social bonds that transform an individual into a citizen able to express his freedom.
