Abstract

This cross-cultural empirical research studies the small-business owner-managers’ perceptions of CSR and business-related ethical concepts in six European countries, using the Repertory Grid Technique. This cross-cultural study sheds a sceptical light on the universality of sensemaking in academic concepts, and warns that the universal adoption of Anglo-Saxon management terminology should not be taken for granted.
