One of the last Brillante of the Italian stage, Antonio Gandusio is a comic actor par excellence of the early 20th century. Specialised in brilliant "macchiette", he went from his training in the Filodrammatica Romana to the professional companies of Alfredo De Sanctis, Ermete Novelli, Virginia Reiter and Teresa Mariani, becoming Capocomico in 1918. He acted until the day he died, ranging between theatre, radio and cinema and passing on his artistic experience to the actors of the next generation.
