In this paper we consider the numerical solution of the three-dimensional (3D) fluidstructure interaction problem in haemodynamics, in the case of physiological geometries and data, and finite elasticity vessel deformations. We introduce new partitioned algorithms and compare their efficiency with that of existing ones. We also study some new inexact variants, obtained from semiimplicit approximations, and show that they allow to improve the efficiency while preserving the accuracy of the related exact (implicit) scheme.

Abstract
In this paper we consider the numerical solution of the three-dimensional (3D) fluidstructure interaction problem in haemodynamics, in the case of physiological geometries and data, and finite elasticity vessel deformations. We introduce new partitioned algorithms and compare their efficiency with that of existing ones. We also study some new inexact variants, obtained from semiimplicit approximations, and show that they allow to improve the efficiency while preserving the accuracy of the related exact (implicit) scheme.File allegato/i alla scheda:
