La risposta psicologica ai disastri: una rassegna della letteratura This review aims to present an analysis of the literature on psychological response to disasters and risk situations. The review consists of four main sections. The first section takes into consideration some theoretical definitions and classifications that contributed to better clarify the meaning of the concept of disaster, as it has been used in contemporary psychological and social sciences. The second section summarizes the results of the empirical investigations on psychological reactions, behaviors, and psychopathological disorders that can occur during the various time phases of a disaster (preparation, acute, and post-impact). The third section describes the main instruments which have been developed to measure psychological reactions to disasters. Finally, in the last section the authors discuss the theoretical implications of the studies conducted thus far, proposing new research directions and identifying their practical implications.
