"Giuliano" is an opera composed by Riccardo Zandonai; in 1927 Luciano Baldessari is invited to design the scenes and costumes, but a series of contrasting opinions prevents the project to be fully developed: the failed project becomes an interesting cultural adventure, analyzed both through the lens of theatre and of visual art.
