In the early 1930s, Heidegger initiates a “turn” in approaching the question of being that will lead him to understand metaphysics as oblivion of the original truth, which he defines as a struggle between concealment and nonconcealment. In this context, he holds his only seminar on Plato’s 'Parmenides' and considers this Greek thinker not yet as the initiator of an epoch in the history of being that is to be overcome, but as the one who has already hinted at the concealment of being, at the ontological difference, and even at the temporality as the sense of being. Heidegger’s reflections, which move around the Platonic concept of ἐξαίφνης, are known in their entirety thanks to the notes taken by Marcuse during the 1930-1931-seminar, published by Vincenzo Cicero and Niccolò Tucci at the end of 2024.

Abstract
In the early 1930s, Heidegger initiates a “turn” in approaching the question of being that will lead him to understand metaphysics as oblivion of the original truth, which he defines as a struggle between concealment and nonconcealment. In this context, he holds his only seminar on Plato’s 'Parmenides' and considers this Greek thinker not yet as the initiator of an epoch in the history of being that is to be overcome, but as the one who has already hinted at the concealment of being, at the ontological difference, and even at the temporality as the sense of being. Heidegger’s reflections, which move around the Platonic concept of ἐξαίφνης, are known in their entirety thanks to the notes taken by Marcuse during the 1930-1931-seminar, published by Vincenzo Cicero and Niccolò Tucci at the end of 2024.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
