The essay is dedicated to the study and to the edition of the laude cantasi come contained in the ms. Florence, Biblioteca Riccardiana, 2871. The miscellaneous codex presents, in the last codicological unit, sixteen rhymes, including fifteen devotional texts and one arsnovistic madrigal: all compositions are prestigious, especially considering the poetic source (by Dante, Petrarch or Sacchetti) or the pre-existing melody (by Francesco Landini and Nicolò da Perugia). Considering the characteristics of the codex and the peculiarities of the compositions, it cannot be ruled out that the artefact can be contextualised within the production area of the «Benci copyists».

Abstract
The essay is dedicated to the study and to the edition of the laude cantasi come contained in the ms. Florence, Biblioteca Riccardiana, 2871. The miscellaneous codex presents, in the last codicological unit, sixteen rhymes, including fifteen devotional texts and one arsnovistic madrigal: all compositions are prestigious, especially considering the poetic source (by Dante, Petrarch or Sacchetti) or the pre-existing melody (by Francesco Landini and Nicolò da Perugia). Considering the characteristics of the codex and the peculiarities of the compositions, it cannot be ruled out that the artefact can be contextualised within the production area of the «Benci copyists».File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
