This article brings together the notions of fear, anxiety and distress as important factors of imaginaries in tourism and travel. By analyzing the ways pandemics of Covid-19 virus creates a specific shared experience of fear and alters practices of global travel, I propose potential developments in the tourism dynamics of the upcoming period and suggest possible ways out of the fear and discomfort ridden imaginaries of post-pandemics travel.
