Il gorgo di Beppe Fenoglio. Aggiornamento e fenomenologia del problema

The article focuses on the image of the whirlpool in Beppe Fenoglio’s narrative works. Specifically, the intent is to study the physical and metaphorical (as well as philosophical) properties of the phenomenon, conceived as a structuring theme which modifies the relationship between the landscape and the characters’ subjectivity (faced with death and time). The relationship between Fenoglio and Poe will be finally reconsidered through the study of the whirlpool.

L’articolo si concentra sull’immagine del gorgo nelle opere narrative di Beppe Fenoglio. Più nello specifico, il saggio intende studiare le caratteristiche fisiche e metaforiche (ma anche filosofiche) del fenomeno, intendendolo come un tema strutturante che modifica la relazione tra il paesaggio e la soggettività dei personaggi (di fronte alla morte e al tempo). In conclusione, attraverso il gorgo si ridiscuterà la relazione tra Fenoglio e Poe.
