This essay intends to provide a brief insight on the main sources, both Latin and Old Norse, about the arrival of Scandinavian navigators in America during the Middle Ages. In particular, I will analyze documents and sources useful to enrich and better contextualize the information provided on this topic by the Cronica universalis of Galvano Fiamma and the Icelandic sagas.
