Il cantiere DigitALI. Primi aspetti della digitalizzazione dell’Atlante Linguistico Italiano

This paper reports on the current state of the art of the DigitALI project, initiated in 2023 within the PNRR-funded “CHANGES” extended partnership and coordinated by the universities of Turin and Bergamo, whose aim is to create an online GIS-based resource allowing for both a user-friendly consultation of the published volumes of the Atlante Linguistico Italiano (ALI) and a more fine-grained interrogation of the database. The context in which the project was developed will be first introduced, and then the main challenges faced during the digitization process. We will then present the technological and practical solutions adopted to overcome them, touching also on the efforts made so far for the dissemination of the results. In conclusion, a roadmap for future work and research perspectives will be presented
