The aim of the dissertation is to shed light on the reasons that allow the coexistence of a variety of pre-existing in Gadda (a systematization of the complexity of the first person narrator) and its representation, or spectacle: we will move from a vision of a complex and plural self into a new function of the body in its relationship with the outside world. Hence the choice to indicate in the concept of rhizome by Deleuze and Guattari, conceptualized as the form of thought that flows and forks in opposition to the classical figure of thought as a tree rooted in the ground to fasten, the meeting point and the possible development of a different subjectivity. Different in itself, not in the negative sense of distance from an ideal model, and different than simply being able to say ‘I’: different because who will say ‘I’ will always be a new individual born from the metastable dialectic which precedes the subject in Gadda’s philosophy.
