Significato e limiti del diritto di resistenza in alcuni percorsi della filosofia del diritto italiana del Novecento

The right to resist has been a paradigmatic issue in Italian legal philosophy of the XXth century. Leading authors have explored its meaning from their own theoretical perspectives, by pointing out the relationship and differences between resistance and similar notions (like conscientious objection, civil disobedience, and contestation), and by investigating the foundation of the resistance to political power, and the limits of its legitimacy. That debate turns out to shed light not only on a basic category of legal, political, moral, and theological thought, but also on a crossroads in the recent history of legal philosophy.
