Digital tools provide a vast and diverse amount of unstructured data. Historical documentation research results, which are critical before any actions on architectural heritage, should engage not only historians but also conservation designers. Nowadays, 3D models serve as an excellent tool that offers access to structured information. Structuring, classifying, and modelling data have become crucial aspects of the knowledge process in the context of emerging technologies and modern digital information systems. Consequently, the classification and organisation of knowledge are now interdisciplinary efforts that unite the humanities and technical fields, striving to establish a shared language and dialogue. This evolution has led to the development of tools grounded in ontological standards, enabling us to arrange data and information in a way that transforms what was once solely human-readable into a form of machine-readable knowledge. This project aims to organise existing information into a system that catalogues current iconographic resources and compares them with the geometric data acquired from the Rotonda di San Tomè in Almenno (BG).
