Conclusion: the present and future understanding of integrity and sustainability in sport

In the conclusion, we synthesise the relationship between integrity and sustainability within the sports industry, emphasising and defining their bi-directional relationship. We explore various dimensions of this relationship, illustrating how integrity serves as a prerequisite for genuine sustainability and how sustainability enables integrity in sports. Also, we put in practice the Integrity - Sustainability in Sport Framework and discuss how the various chapters examined links between sub-dimensions of sustainability and integrity. Last but not least, we recommend avenues for further research on the topic and outline potential future research directions that will explore emerging challenges and opportunities in integrating integrity and sustainability in the evolving sports landscape.
