This study aims to evaluate the extent of digitisation of historical cartography for the eastern region of Lake Como. The research assesses the accessibility of digitized historical maps for planners, distinguishing between editable and non-editable formats. To achieve this goal, it examines several online resources, such as the Lombardy region's geoportal and local government websites. Finally, it investigates the role of historical maps in teaching urban planning disciplines.
