The article begins with an examination of the constitutional history of Mongolia, which is not among the best known in the West. It then focuses on the institutional features of the system of constitutional adjudication realized in Mongolia, after the end of the communist regime in 1990 and on the basis of the Constitution of 1992. The relationships between the powers of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court, which gave rise to some discussion, are then examined. Finally, some of the most relevant decisions of the post-socialist Mongolian Constitutional Court are analysed.
