Seventeenth-century Italian literature and authorial philology: Tommaso Stigliani · A large amount of Tommaso Stigliani’s material has been preserved in the form of prints, manuscripts and apostilles. All this material witnesses a tireless process of rethinking his work that is largely affected by the author’s travails. Here we offer a philological overview of Stigliani’s main works, namely the Canzoniero, the Mondo nuovo and the Occhiale, which can be useful to open a glimpse into his way of working.
