Starting from a theoretical reflection on the relationship between phytosemiosis (Deleuze, Guattari) and physiosemiosis, this essay constitutes a theoretical experiment aimed at proposing a critical reading of Marcel Beyer’s poetry collection "Daemonenraeumdienst", which interrogates the poetic ductus by considering it as the construction of a semiosis of the peatland. The essay shows how this semiosis not only continually interweaves within the verse heterogeneous materials and things and the poetic voice, but also reconfigures natural history beyond any ideology of binarism or speciesism.
