This essay engages with ecocritical discourse and argues for the necessity of reconfiguring contemporary literary criticism, on the grounds that an ecocritical epistemological framework has become indispensable for the critical interrogation of literary texts of the present. Within this theoretical horizon, the article advances a reading of Marcel Beyer’s poetology through the lens of new materialism as it currently shapes contemporary philosophical discourse. In particular, the critical analysis of the poetry collection "Daemonenraeumdienst" demonstrates how the pre-theoretical capacity of poetic language operates to deconstruct—beyond any explicit form of Naturschreiben—the concept of natural history, as well as the binary structures embedded within it.

Abstract
This essay engages with ecocritical discourse and argues for the necessity of reconfiguring contemporary literary criticism, on the grounds that an ecocritical epistemological framework has become indispensable for the critical interrogation of literary texts of the present. Within this theoretical horizon, the article advances a reading of Marcel Beyer’s poetology through the lens of new materialism as it currently shapes contemporary philosophical discourse. In particular, the critical analysis of the poetry collection "Daemonenraeumdienst" demonstrates how the pre-theoretical capacity of poetic language operates to deconstruct—beyond any explicit form of Naturschreiben—the concept of natural history, as well as the binary structures embedded within it.Pubblicazioni consigliate
