In this paper, a method for optimizing energy consumption is proposed by implementing a heat recovery system from industrial ovens in a bread factory. The research is applied to a case study representing a conventional industrial process, in which a heat recovery system is introduced. The main purpose of the article is to implement and automate a heat recovery system to achieve an increase in energy efficiency and reduce heat losses. Such a system recovers the heat that is lost through exhaust to the stack. The results of the research offer numerous advantages, both from an economic and ecological point of view. A heat recovery system can generate considerable savings, can reduce the effects on the environment and improve the overall efficiency of activities.
