The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in inclusive learning: an exploratory investigation

The contribution intends to illustrate the research carried out within the Learning Technologies laboratories of the specialization courses for the support of pupils with disabilities or Special Educational Needs (SEN). The research, addressed to the Universities of Sassari, Modena and Reggio Emilia and Trieste, sought to investigate the impact that AI can have in the education process. To answer these questions, a questionnaire was administered to a sample of 263 trainees to survey their views on the use of AI as a support for students with disabilities and other special educational needs and inclusive processes.
