This review-essay intends to highlight the contribution of the collective publication by Alvaro Medina, Christian Padilla, Maria Isabel Botero, Ricardo Arcos Palma and Melba Pineda García on different aspects of the creation and reception of ‘Bachué’, by Colombian artist Rómulo Rozo, a human-size granite sculpture signed in Paris in 1926 and exhibited only in Paris in 1926 and in Seville in 1929 before being kept in a private collection until 1997 when it was exhibited for the first time in Colombia.
