A Few Remarks à la Telesio in Works by Fabio Colonna. The essay aims to show how the philosophical culture of Southern Italy, in the period 1550-1650, is mainly elaborated starting from a substratum nourished by the philosophy of Telesio and the heterogeneous motifs of della Porta’s work. Although far from the greatness of Bruno and Campanella, Telesio and della Porta are the authors who most influenced the Neapolitan culture of the early seventeenth century, when Federico Cesi chose to create a branch of the Accademia dei Lincei in Naples.
