Che disgrazia i classici! La ricezione di Aleksandr Griboedov in Italia.

The aim of this article is to describe the context of Italian Slavistics and publishing business when translations of Alexander Griboyedov’s most important play, Woe from Witt, began to spread in Italy. From 1925, the year of the publication of the first Italian version of Griboyedov’s masterpiece, until 2017, when the most recent one is published, the history of the reception of this author and his play in Italy follows an interesting and varied path, in which take part the most important Slavists and intellectuals of the 20th century, including Verdinois, Pacini Savoj, Lo Gatto, Ripellino.
