The research project “Families and early childhood education services: pedagogical reflections for the future” examines the alliance between families and professionals in early childhood education (ECE) services. Beginning with a historical-pedagogical overview aimed at sharing insights into the origins and evolution of current views of childhood and parenthood, the project reflects on the role of adults within the educational relationship, focusing in particular on the ECE educator's professional role. This complex profession is called upon to respond pedagogically to the socio-cultural challenges of contemporary society, including the evolving concept of family, which has been undergoing continuous transformation in recent decades. These perspectives are combined with an empirical research conducted in two nurseries centres in the Bergamo area. The findings will explore and illustrate, from an idiographic perspective, the intentions, tools, and educational practices that can promote or hinder the processes of co-participation and co-planning that potentially characterize education for children aged 0-3 and are aimed at promoting new and future opportunities for active and generative participation by families and educators belonging to the observed reality.
Il progetto di ricerca “Famiglie e servizi 0-3: riflessioni pedagogiche per guardare al futuro” esplora il tema dell’alleanza tra le famiglie e professionisti dei servizi educativi e formativi per la prima infanzia. A partire da una ricognizione storico-pedagogica volta condividere delle suggestioni sull’origine e evoluzione della visione di infanzia e genitorialità attuale, si rifletterà sul ruolo degli adulti all’interno della relazione educativa, soffermandosi in particolare sulla figura dell’Educatore professionale socio-pedagogico che opera nei servizi per l’Infanzia. Una professionalità complessa chiamata a rispondere in senso pedagogico alle sfide socio-culturali della società contemporanea, fra le quali troviamo l'idea di famiglia che, negli ultimi decenni, ha visto una continua trasformazione. Tali prospettive saranno coniugate ad un’indagine empirica condotta all’interno di due Nidi d’Infanzia del territorio bergamasco. Gli elementi emersi esploreranno e mostreranno, in prospettiva idiografica, le intenzionalità, gli strumenti e le pratiche educative in grado di promuovere, o ostacolare, quei processi di co-partecipazione e co-progettazione che potenzialmente caratterizzano l’offerta educativa 0-3 e sono volti a promuovere nuove e future occasioni di partecipazione attiva e generativa da parte di famiglie e educatori appartenenti alla realtà osservata.
