The Reform of Sport has not only introduced the Safeguarding Officer within sports clubs but has, above all, highlighted the critical nature of “violence and abuse” against minors in the sporting world. Bodies that, as recent research highlights, risk being overstretched, humiliated, at times violated, considered exclusively performance-oriented, and ultimately objectified by coaches and peers. This contribution intends to reflect on available research and data, the meanings and repercussions of such negative practices, and the vital role pedagogy plays in the socio-educational training of sports operators
La Riforma dello Sport non solo ha introdotto il Safeguarding Officer all’interno delle società sportive, ma ha soprattutto evidenziato la rilevanza del tema “violenza e abusi” sui minori nel mondo sportivo. Corpi che, come evidenziano recenti ricerche, rischiano di essere iper-sollecitati, umiliati, a volte violati, considerati esclusivamente prestativi, in definitiva oggettificati da parte degli allenatori e dei pari. Il contributo intende riflettere sulle ricerche e dati disponibili, su significati e ripercussioni di tali pratiche negative, sul contributo che la pedagogia può dare alla formazione socioeducativa degli operatori sportivi.
