This essay examines Floriano Bodini's liturgical production within the broader context of the renewal of sacred art following the Second Vatican Council. Focusing on the artist's interventions in churches throughout Italy, it analyses how Bodini reinterpreted liturgical furnishings—including altars, ambos, tabernacles, and monumental bronze doors—through a distinctive sculptural language that combines symbolic depth, formal innovation, and respect for ecclesiastical tradition. Particular attention is given to the relationship between sculpture, liturgical function, and architectural space, highlighting how Bodini transformed post-conciliar requirements into opportunities for artistic experimentation while maintaining the communicative power of sacred imagery. His liturgical works emerge as a significant chapter in his mature career, demonstrating the ability of contemporary sculpture to engage in a meaningful dialogue with both historical sacred spaces and modern religious sensibilities.
