Introduzione a "Fernando Ortiz. Dodici poesie (traduzione di Marina Bianchi e Maria Maffei)"

The study, which appears before the translations with the original Spanish texts on facing pages (pp. 130–155), presents twelve poems by Fernando Ortiz from the anthology Pasos que se alejan. Antología poética 1978-2013. It examines the main themes that characterize his poetic work: the passage of time, memory and the awareness of death, love, friendship, the places of Andalusia, and poetry itself. Particular attention is given to Ortiz’s dialogue with the Spanish and European literary tradition and to the growing importance of irony in his later work. Finally, the article outlines the principles followed in the Italian translations, which seek, as far as possible, to convey the meaning, sound, rhythm, tone, style, voice, and imagery of the original poems.

Lo studio, che antecede le traduzioni con originale a fronte (pagine 130-155), presenta dodici poesie di Fernando Ortiz, tratte dall’antologia Pasos que se alejan. Antología poética 1978-2013, attraverso l'analisi dei temi che caratterizzano l’intera produzione dell’autore: lo scorrere del tempo, la memoria e la coscienza della morte, l’amore, l’amicizia, i luoghi dell’Andalusia e la scrittura poetica. Particolare attenzione è riservata al dialogo con la tradizione letteraria spagnola ed europea, oltre che al ruolo crescente dell’ironia nella poesia della maturità di Ortiz. Infine, si illustrano i criteri seguiti nelle versioni italiane, orientate a restituire, per quanto possibile, significato, suono, ritmo, tono, stile, voce e immagini dell’originale.
