La cultura storica dell'Italia unita

This short review examines Roberto Pertici's volume of the same name, which collects writings published between 2004 and 2017. The work belongs to a tradition that reached peaks of excellence in Italy, but recently seems to suffer disproportionately from a crisis. This crisis coincides with the onset of 'postmodernity', which has established the primacy of interpretations over facts, and in which historical writing increasingly appears to take the form of a linguistic exercise.

La nota dà conto dell'omonimo volume di Roberto Pertici, che raccoglie scritti pubblicati tra il 2004 e il 2017 e si inserisce in una tradizione che in Italia ha toccato punte di eccellenza, ma che in tempi più recenti sembra patire oltremodo una crisi coincidente con l'avvio di quella 'postmodernità' che ha prodotto il primato delle interpretazioni sui fatti e nella quale la scrittura storica sembra assumere sempre più le forme di un esercizio linguistico.
