Violencia verbal como forma de agresión en los comentarios de YouTube: el caso del beso entre Isabel Díaz Ayuso y Mónica García

The study examines the confrontation between Isabel Díaz Ayuso and Mónica García during the Conference of Presidents in June 2025, focusing on the reactions that this episode generated among YouTube users. Based on an analysis of 1 266 comments posted on 25 videos published by Spanish media outlets, the research explores different forms of verbal impoliteness and aggression, including insults, threats, irony, sarcasm, and attacks related to gender. Finally, the study concludes that anonymity and the lack of face-to-face interaction, which are characteristic of social media, encourage aggressive discourse that contributes to increasing political polarization.
