This article analyzes the recurrence and representation of liminal spaces— conceptualized from the perspectives of anthropology and sociology—in the dramatic works of Diana de Paco. The study focuses on a specific corpus of plays —Morir de amor (2013), La antesala (1998), Obsession Street (2008) y Eva a las seis (2020)— to demonstrate how the playwright strategically positions her protagonists, primarily women, in settings (the matrimonial bed, the anteroom, the tram stop) that function as symbolic thresholds. These "non-spaces" often convey a situation of ambiguity and indefiniteness, which the characters choose to inhabit and to which they cling, remaining suspended in a limbo between two worlds or conditions. By exploring this poetics of liminality, Diana de Paco addresses central and recurring themes in her work, such as social criticism, miscommunication, and the denunciation of violence against women.

Abstract
By exploring this poetics of liminality, Diana de Paco addresses central and recurring themes in her work, such as social criticism, miscommunication, and the denunciation of violence against women.| File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
