Some definitions of Anthropocene are given, with the aim of stressing the relevance of the multiple processes that simultaneously characterize it, and highlighting the differ- ences in scale that coexist at theoretical and observational levels. In particular, different scales in time and in size are discussed, spanning from human to environmental objects of analysis. The converge of differently scaled processes in shaping a single conceptual issue like Anthopocene pose the premises for major methodological diffi arising when trying to match and interface distant research discourses. The research on Anthropocene seems to require a serious going back down from theory, models, quantities, from large scale knowledge systems, down to experience, to em- bodied perception, to the central role of practice. At the same time, the capabilities of adapting to changes in scale, in time, in space, in resolution must be the refined and en- hanced, as techniques to reconstruct a new possible theory.

Abstract
At the same time, the capabilities of adapting to changes in scale, in time, in space, in resolution must be the refined and en- hanced, as techniques to reconstruct a new possible theory.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
