W.G. Sebald verstörende Idylle in seiner Dichtung und in seinem Prosawerk

This essay examines the historical development and aesthetic manifestations of the idyll and the “idyllic" in the works of W.G. Sebald as Logis in einem Landhaus and his prosa-texts on Corsica. In Sebalds perception of the world just a form of distorted idyll is possible, because of the civilisation-process, which is bringing disorder in the nature and the human relations. So are here in discussion some solutions to how survive in modern times by authors as Hebel, Mörike and Keller, who are masters of the small form of narration.
