The essay is devoted to one of the most significant theoretical prose by G. Benn; while trying to demonstrate the affinity between the mithological figure of Pallas as incarnation of the aesthetic principle of discontinuity, and the figures of Benn's former and later works, this essay also focuses on Benn's ironical use of myth in comparison with Nazi cultural politics, which had adopted Pallas as an emblem of the new Reich.
