The purpose of the paper is to describe the innovative career service of the Department of Human and Social Sciences of the University of Bergamo. The development of this experimental model is aimed at pursuing four goals: to plan in an integrated and organized manner during the university pathways: a) initial, on-going and outgoing educational guidance; b) curricular and extracurricular internships; c) placement; d) feedback and effects of these actions on the curricula and training; to create integration networks, involving all the social actors of the territory in a context of shared objectives; to create a system that overcomes the mismatch between demand and supply of labor by resolving issues connected to the division between academia and business; to select the job profiles on the basis of companies’ needs by ensuring a constant control, even after graduation.
