The VR multimedia installation of "Carne y Arena" by the Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu aims to allow the visitor, through virtual reality, to take part in the dramatic adventure of a group of migrants intercepted by the U.S. Border Patrol while trying to cross the border at night. The article describes the installation and analyzes in detail some aspects according to the paradigm of “embodied cognition" and in relation to the film experience.
