Maria Vittoria Molinari’s scientific career as a germanist was rather peculiar. Pupil of the famous Indo-Europeanist Vittore Pisani, she focused her research on the historical and cultural aspects of the linguistic material investigated. In the present paper her approach to the texts will be illustrated, also showing that philology was the inevitable development of her attitude to texts. The method exploited by Maria Vittoria Molinari in her investigation of the documents preserving Crimean Gothic still remains a model of analysis

Abstract
