The paper defines some soft aggregation operators for combining results of Web searches, organized into information granules of distinct resolution. We propose to use them to perform personalized explorations of the contents retrieved by distinct queries to possibly distinct search engines on the Internet. These operators exploit the contents of the result lists retrieved by search engines to discover shared and correlated contents between web pages. We present their application within the meta-search system Matrioshka and discuss their semantics and utility.

Abstract
The paper defines some soft aggregation operators for combining results of Web searches, organized into information granules of distinct resolution. We propose to use them to perform personalized explorations of the contents retrieved by distinct queries to possibly distinct search engines on the Internet. These operators exploit the contents of the result lists retrieved by search engines to discover shared and correlated contents between web pages. We present their application within the meta-search system Matrioshka and discuss their semantics and utility.File | Dimensione del file | Formato | |
