This contribution aims to propose a first literature review on the topic of Teaching and Learning Centers (TLCs). By analyzing a series of selected papers published between 2019 and 2024, this article focuses on two themes frequently appearing in the current academic debate. On the one hand, the role of TLCs in supporting and promoting inno-vation in educational and teaching practices during the pandemic and, on the other hand, the link between these institutions and the Faculty development issue. By com-paring case studies and national and international experiences, the analysis of the ex-isting literature thus provides an opportunity to reflect on the function of TLCs in the contemporary context.
